i) Application: Dimethomorph is a systemic morpholine fungicide which protects plants from molds, as well as killing molds on plants and preventing their spread, its mode of action is the inhibition of sterol (ergosterol) synthesis. Morpholines are all systemic with curative and preventative qualities. It's mainly for downy mildews, late blights, crown and root rots for grapes, potatoes, tomatoes, and other vegetables. It is a mixture of two isomers but only the Z isomer has fungicidal activity. Dimethomorph is used as a wood preservative to control downy mildew on vines, and to control late blight on tomatoes and potatoes.
