9) Stability:Diazinon decomposes above 120°C and is susceptible to oxidation.It is stable in alkaline media, but is slowly hydrolysed by water and by dilute acids.The presence of traces of water promotes hydrolysis on storage to highly toxictetraethylmonothiopyrophosphate.
